Michael,

You know, I'm just figuring this Kindle stuff out myself. I've ordered my own Kindle, but since it's back-ordered, I've been reading books on my iPhone and also my Mac. I know people say they like paper, but this is the perfect platform for books like mine.

Peter,

Looking forward to your work on healing. However, as a word of caution , you should seriously consider making the final PDF available for direct download.

Many of us do not want to buy a reader type of device just to read the book. And this technology is on the way out according to some of the reports that I have read. they are sort of redundant when other computers can do that and so much more.

If you are writing this book on a subject of such an immense importance, you owe it to yourself and to fellow Christians to make the book and its format available to the widest possible audience as possible.

By only distributing the book through Kindle and other similar venues, you would effectively be "muzzling the ox."

Please implement a direct download.

Michael,

Some writers have installed some kind of software that allows people to download books in pdf form after going through Paypal. After reading some of their stories, I doubt that I'll do that. Personally, I find myself reading a lot of books through the Kindle app on my iPhone.

Once I send the manuscript out for formatting, I plan to post an excerpt on the site.

Peter
Although I'm sort of up with modern technology, one thought comes to mind.. is it possible to emulate a kindle type reader in software on a PC ? Although I don't plan on buying an e book reader just yet, I would read something on my PC or laptop. Your book looks too tempting to want to wait..

Scott,

Thanks for the comment.

I plan to write about this in the near future (after finishing the manuscript), but I don't believe that the ordinary publishing route for a book like this is workable for a number of reasons.

peter,
As I've stated in the past, i greatly respect you and the work that you put into your site, and the personal cost to you for the amount of disciplined and structured study that you present in your teachings, thank you.

i am excited about your upcoming book on divine healing, but i am very saddened that i will not be able to read it, due to the fact that i do not own a kindle, and do not see myself ever purchasing one, to me as a collector and lover of printed books, the real books that one can hold in their hands, and place on the book shelf, or sit on the porch and read it, sure some might say, why you must get with the times, but does this always make it right, just because others are doing it, there are many of us who don't have kindle, nor can afford it, so, my brother, a great work of labor done by you, but it will be unavailable to far more that it will touch. would you please consider an actual printed version.

One material difference between my book and McCrossan's is his treatment of 1 Peter 2.24. He says that stripes is singular in the Greek to demonstrate that Jesus' back was beaten so badly that it essentially became one big bruise. I, on the other hand, link it to Isaiah's own singular bruise, which is all about the sins he bore. McCrossan also goes outside the Word in quoting other preachers, etc. All of my material is completely from the Word.

McCrossan's book is limited in its scope and who knows, probably outdated in terms of scholarship, though has its value. I'm sure Peter's book, looking at his TOC, addresses more issues related to healing and I'll be quite excited to read it.

Dear Zerubbabel,

In Calvinsm My God My God is Jesus stoically suffering at the hands of God Himself. Calvinism is penal substitution. But most free will protestants who reject that Jesus was made sin itself and sufferd at the hands of satan in hell see Jesus dying at the hands of man as a Moral Display of God submitting to mans wrath as an example of how the Chirstan must also suffer at mans hands. In the sense God forsalkes Jesus to the Jews and Romans. With Penal Substititution which is not Moral Display, Jesus suffers at God's spiritual eternal force on the Cross when He cries My GOd My God--in His Soul. Hence under Moral Display the Southern Baptist must suffer at the hands of man to conqur sin and then is saced from God upon death. With Penal Substitution Jesus fulfills hell at the hands of God on the Cross. When I belived in free wil I was afraid I was not saved from hell even though I was saved from the lake of fire. When I became a Calvinist I was saved from hell also but not from this life. But becuase I now know that Adam did not offend God by eating the friut but sold out his dominion to satan I am saved from this life. In Moral Display I feared I was not saved from hell and I only thought I was saved from Church rituals. When I became a Clavinist I understood better that I was saved from morality. Becuase of your web site I am saved from suffering. But under Moral Display My God My God Jesus is complianing to God that God has abndoned Him to mans wrath. It is like doubting God. Under Penal Substitution Jesus is stoically suffering at God's hands in his soul. under the spiritual death of Christ Jesus is perhaps even actively disaccociating Himself from the Holy SPirit when He cries "My God My GOd why have you forsaken me?"

I don't understand it all.

Thank you for understanding me. You have helped Jesus save my life.
You are invited to mine and Lindas wedding. I am trying to get Charles Capps to show also.

In Christ Jesus,
Jim

Diane,

Yep. I think it's better than McCrossan's. Of course, I won't be the judge on that.

I just found out from my ebook formatter that he'll be formatting the book for Kindle and virtually every other e-reader. I haven't yet figured out direct downloads, but my formatter says that his turnaround time is 10 weeks. That should give me enough time to figure it out. I hope to get the book to him by the end of next week.

Better than McCrossan?? Really?? This I gotta read. On anothet topic, I bet most of your readers (see Jonathan's comment above, for example) don't have Kindle and are not sure that is the way we want to go (there are other e-readers and of course now the new IPad too). So, what are most of us supposed to do? Help! I really want to read your book.

If you still have room on your list I would like to be one of your book's reviewers.

Thanks for your blog over the past years. I have read much thought provoking material. I'm sorry to see this phased out, yet I know this is what God is raising you to - and that's a good thing.

Plus, your photos! Wonderful

Are you familiar with the early full color photographs from Russia (ca. 1910)? This was at a time when no one else on the planet was even thinking color photography was even a remote possibility (prior to the Russian Revolution - prior to WWI).

Are you familiar with the early full color photographs from Russia (ca. 1910)? This was at a time when no one else on the planet was even thinking color photography was even a remote possibility (prior to the Russian Revolution – prior to WWI).

Enjoy

Jonathan,

Thanks for the comment. The healing book is going to be pretty good. I'm covering all of the scriptures and including the Greek with them too. I've had a couple of guys review it and they've liked what they've read so far (so they say).

Walked out the front door of St., Josephs in Chicago and Emhurst Memeoial in Emhurst where I was biorn. REv Father Morrison from Queen of the Queers in Elk GRove wher I wen to Grammer school rejected me in that materity ward from society to be explioted and whearhoused fro insuranace pruposes by all of the rest of you mfs. But he rejected a baby that was hung like a horse. the gir that took me virginity in 1988 is a grad of Vassar. (english) four years older than me. i borke up with her becasue she was in bed already before I clould watch her put in her diaphram. HA so much for the mob! OUT PLAYED!

I am going to get married to Linda Piepenbrink and rule the planet and the mental health living trust that my relatives have ou ton me since 1998 behind my back with out any true gaurdianship over me!
